hey guys!
easy breezy work outfit for today and we´re off to watch the hunger games!
i am a HUGE fan of the books (geek alert!) and of jennifer lawrence (not so fond of the bob gurlll), so excited to see what kind of outfits she´ll be wearing in the movie this time.
anyway, i don´t want to ever take off this jacket. it has a teddy bear lining that make it so warm.
every winter, i realize how much i really really hate winter.
but luckily, after christmas, i will finally be going back to the philippines to spend my birthday and new year!

if i could wear just one outfit everyday, this would probably be it.
a big turtleneck sweater, these boots and this coat. all from madame isabel marant.
i have never been so excited for an H&M collaboration since maybe Versace (which was rather flashy & trashy to the point of PERFECTION) but marant´s bohemian casual cool is just more me.
i have waited 2 hours at a queue on the online shop, which when you think about it, is sooo ironic in our very modern digital age.
anyway, i got what i wanted and i am so happy with the quality!

one week without posting in this über competitive blogosphere seems like suicide for some but it was important for me to make a point.
the situation in the philippines is still not resolved as though so many have survived, they are dying of hunger, thirst and lack of medicine.
distribution of relief goods is slow due to the closed roads but mostly because of our corrupt government´s hidden agenda.
repacking goods with politicians´ names on it is just so mean and pointless at this point.
campaigning to those who are fighting for their lives is unfair and uncalled for.

BUT as what they say, life must go on.
i am very thankful to be working with brands who have HUGE hearts.

Though it seems so utterly inane right now to post an outfit with the on going "tragedy" that is happening in the Philippines, i really need to get this out of my system.
(wearing black for all the victims and survivors who have lost everything)


Life has been good to me. So good in fact. I started with some big bumps when i came to Germany almost 8 years ago and experienced so much bad stuff to a point of self- pity. But then things changed and i look around today, there is really nothing i can complain about. I have a room full of clothes and shoes to a point that it´s getting out of hand (i am not bragging, i am ashamed), i eat at restaurants where a glass of wine can feed a family in the philippines, i get to travel to countries and experience new cultures as if was a hobby rather than a privilege, i have a healthy gorgeous kid who i spoil with toys that he want but doesn´t really need just because i can (still not bragging, just proving a point), i have a roof over my spoiled head and i have a good paying job where i earn ten times more than a normal working filipino and still be able to do something on the side i am really passionate about, fashion. Recently, earthquakes and typhoons have hit my country and damaged a lot of my fellow countrymen. Destroyed homes, death of family members, lack of food and water, the list goes on..
 and all this made me question how life can sometimes really be unfair. 
It pisses me off how i can complain about so many mundane things when really, i am living a life of a princess. Which designer shoe to wear, which restaurant to go to tonight..
It puzzles me how people in Germany can talk about their poverty when really it is a luxurious life we are all living. If someone has told me that i will be living this life 20 years ago, i would have laughed at them while washing my one pair of uniform for school and hang it at the back of the refrigerator just so i would have a fresh one to wear for school the next day. Me, the girl who got bullied at the schoolyard because i didn´t have the newest 'IT' shoes or a brand new uniform. I know how it is not to be well-off or how it is to lose a home. 
I know that it will take years to mend the broken town of Tacloban who has received the most damage.

My point is, if you´ve reached this text up to here, we should be very grateful for all the things we have.
Not just the material things, but above all, for the good health, abundance in food, friends & family.
I know i am not deserving to have all these when so many, so many people in the Philippines don´t even have clean water to drink right now.
And so I am appealing to all my blog readers all over the world, if you can in any way, send help to my beloved country, i would be forever thankful.
There are loads of organizations that are willing to collect donations and send them over to the Philippines.

how many times can i use blue as a title for a blogpost before i totally come off as redundant?
in my defense, i can not for the life of me think of a better title..
you all wear your little pink coats (i bought two by the way, eek) and i will have my blue moment for as long as i feel like it!
anyway, this park is our mini tuilleries here in our humble town. :) so very paris, non?
i hear my inner self LOL-ing.
i find it the perfect back drop to my new buckle booties which i scored off my new site obsession: VESTIAIRE COLLECTIVE, a french second-hand, ebay-ish (just much better) kind of site.

writing this post with the fluffiest socks i own, sipping my earl grey and watching the big bang theory on the side.
THAT´S RIGHT. i am on a one week holiday from work!
the kid is in kindergarten, le boyf at work. the house all for myself. just like the old times! :)

better late than never, here are some of the pictures i took from the newly opened C&A store in Schadowstrasse in Düsseldorf.

Germany being the largest market for the company, it was a no brainer to do the first #REIMAGINE store here!

the concept being "Inspired by Life", the metro as the catwalk, bikes as clothes rail, hats as lamps, i couldn´t help but wonder if we were still in a C&A store...

the clothes were spot on and fresh (words that you wouldn´t normally associate with C&A) just as the whole store. 

together with 77 press representatives from all over the world, we were able to catch a glimpse of what the company has in store for us in the future.

and it is looking good!

of course i couldn´t leave the store empty handed, i just had to bring home this blouse with me! i would have brought home those bicycle clothes rail if it wasn´t glued on the floor. LOL
