THE TALE OF THE PURPLE BRASSIERE.

no worries. this will not be a post where you will see me in lingerie (CUE: HORROR!).
it is a story of how i finally learned my right bra size.
my mom always told me (and is still reminding me now and then), a woman should always have a sexy lingerie underneath whatever she´s wearing.
after 28 years of being a girl, half of it being an awkward looking girl, no boobs and shit, i finally agree. of course with the right lipstick and shoes, a woman is sexiest with the perfect underwear.
anyway, Hunkemöller invited me together with Laura, Nike, Sarah and Schlotti to a day in Rotterdam for a professional fitting and personal lingerie shopping service.
i thought to myself, i already know my size, been buying the same size for 10 years now, i don´t need to go.
but the thought of 80% of women are wearing the wrong bra and the thought of being spoiled rotten for a day, kind of tickled my interest.
i wanted to know if i was right.

so an assistant kindly escorted me to my changing room, brought me champagne & sandwich (which in my opinion should definitely be the way to start!), measured my boobies and calculated which bra form i am. SO FAR SO GOOD.
until she told me that i have been wearing the wrong bra size for years. OUCH. I COULDN´T BELIEVE IT.

to make things worse, the lady friend bringing me different crazy (!) sets. red, glitter, sequins and all that jazz and asked me to press a magic buzzer once i am done.
don´t get me wrong, i love glitter and sequins but not on my underwear.
i love them black, classic and lacy.
but she still insisted that i try some for fun. and so i did.
to my BIG surprise, i really like how the purple set looked on me. 
i stopped trying other things as i am set to this purple number.

and so that is the tale of the purple brassiere. thank you hunkemöller for the enlightenment.

    Ich bin ja auch immer überzeugt davon, dass ich zu den übrigen 20% gehöre, aber ich könnte wetten, wenn's drauf ankommt, würde man mich auch eines besseren belehren :-D

    Looks like a beautiful store. So funny to read your experience of getting fitting. I've been measured a few times (sadly no one brought me champagne during the process) so I'm pretty sure I'm wearing the right size. xx
