i know that you don´t need any reminding that this coming May 10, Sunday, it is Mother´s Day.

i have been a strong believer that we don´t need a special day to remind us how amazing our moms are, but in this crazy fast paced internet generation, where communication with mom seems to be only successful through Whatsapp, Instagram or Snapchat (eek!), i may have joined the dark side!

it is good to know that there is that one special day in a year that´s only dedicated to me (yasss, selfish, so what?) aside from my birthday.

i don´t really need/ want much, aside from a full body massage and a day to myself in the Maldives (all impossible to fulfill at the moment), but i have decided to publish a list of cute things your mommas would like.

today is about interior.

i tend to buy stuff because they´re practical and they won´t get dirty easily even though i would prefer something wayyy nicer. a pink lounge chair + foot rest, for example.

 Another gift i would be so happy to receive is this flower flatrate (AMAZING, i know, right?) from Bloomy Days. 

i do love walking through the flower market but with just two weeks to go before my due date, i just can´t drag my fat belly to the market anymore.

the weather is slowly getting warmer and i am super excited to bid winter goodbye (though not excited about my hay fever though!)...

i have 10 weeks left to get my sh*t together before the baby comes. we are still not finished with the baby room and i am slowly panicking! Maisons du Monde is in full spring fever (check out this Trend Guide!!) and i decided that the room will definitely have pastel accents here and there!
still have to pick a date for the baby shower. OOPSIE.

today, i am showing you a favorite corner in the store, our workstation!

we move alot around here, but i really like this nook. 

this is where the magic happens, lol!

love the grungy appeal of the walls, which we made by ourselves (humble brag) and the intricate carvings on my favorite pink chair and table.

lately, i have found myself buying different chairs and mixing and matching! 

SO MUCH FUN, you should try!

 

1. Cappuccino Cupcakes with Caramel Espresso Frosting

one thing i definitely miss because of the pregnancy, aside from from a cocktail here and there, is COFFEE! i usually drink 5 cups a day (i know, unhealthy!) but had to reduce to one cup a day. que, horror!! i came up with a super smart alternative though... Cappuccino Cupcakes!! I just make an espresso with my favorite KitchenAid Espresso Maker and mix it on my trusted vanilla cupcake recipe, fold in some chocolate chips and ta-daahhh!

2. Sale, Sale, Sale Everywhere!

 i have not made a lot of purchases in terms of clothes and shoes lately (hello doctor, i might be sick) but whenever i get the chance to surf the internet, my first look is always furniture. 

we are looking for a bigger flat and i can´t wait to find the perfect one and put all these interior inspirations in my head to work!

everybody seems to be on the minimalistic high, but even though i like it too, i know, with two little rascals soon in tow, #allwhiteeverything isn´t just gonna make it.

i personally want a reduced bohemian for a small corner of the house.

if there´s one holiday i get so warm and fuzzy about all year long, it definitely would be Christmas.
i love the smell of mulled wine, roasted almonds and how everybody has this holiday spirit in their smiles. or is it just me?
anyway, i have been asked what i wished for this year and it might be the first time in my life where i can´t think of anything i want.
of course, i would love a Chanel bag but even that isn´t something i want under the tree.
i am so happy with how our store is becoming and i think it is the most special gift i can ever receive.
BUT for those who still are looking for the perfect present, i definitely recommend furniture from Maisons du Monde (not because they are my sponsors, but because everytime a girl comes in the store and see the pink furniture, they just shout oohhhs and ahhhhhhss and i know that they love it).

the pink chairs - without these, the store would just not be the same. enough said.
the extendable tables that goes with the pink chairs - if you´re a part of a big family or just a couple, this table is the perfect table in my opinion.
the princess chandelier - this is just the perfect touch to the whole romantic, dreamy, princess-y picture.
the bookshelf - if you like to collect trinkets and books like i do, i think you would love this too!

Miguel is growing so fast and he is complaining that his room is slowly becoming too childish. :(

So we are looking for cute ways to update his room.

I have found this Circuit Version, Junior Collection from Maisons du Monde which is so cool. I think it will still be ok even if he turns 15.

i might have gone overboard with my collage as i also made one for a baby girl. :/
